Hello Heroes customers!

It is officially August! According to conventional wisdom we are supposed to expect summer to reach its peak this month - meaning that, as hot as the weather has been in July it's only going to get hotter!! And seriously: What better way to cool off than to kick back indoors with a tall stack of your favorite comics?

This week's release list may not be as huge as that from the last Wednesday in July, but there are definitely a number of quality books available this week: Two (!) Mike Mignola comics - Hellboy: The Storm #2 and Baltimore: The Plague Ships #1 - on sale in addition to a new issue of Marvel's breakout hit S.H.I.E.L.D. (#3), part two of "One Moment In Time" in Amazing Spider-Man # 639, and the second issue of the crossover event Shadowland (#2).

Attention fans of all things "Batman": Make sure to check out the "Current Promotions" section for an INCREDIBLE special offer regarding a series set of Batman: The Widening Gyre!

Also, we're running our June 2010 Book of the Month article one more time for those who may have missed it in last week's newsletter.
